Build Immunity, Prevent Disease
Vaccinations are one of the most effective and affordable ways to protect your pet from serious illness. At Finn Hill Animal Hospital, we tailor vaccination schedules to your pet’s age, lifestyle, and individual risk factors — so they get exactly the protection they need, without unnecessary extras.
The Right Vaccines at the Right Time
Vaccinations are especially important for puppies and kittens, whose immune systems are still developing and need support to fight off common diseases. But protection doesn’t stop after the first year — adult and senior pets need regular boosters to maintain their immunity over time.
Core vaccines are recommended for all dogs and cats. For dogs, these typically include rabies, leptospirosis, distemper, parvovirus, hepatitis, adenovirus, and parainfluenza (DA2PPV). For cats, core vaccines include rabies and FVRCP, which protects against feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia.
Depending on your pet’s lifestyle and exposure risk, we may also recommend Bordetella, canine influenza, or feline leukemia vaccines. Even indoor pets should stay current — they can still be exposed to pathogens carried in on clothing or by other animals in the household.
